Meet behind Bushel & Peck’s before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening to join in a fun bicycle ride!

This is a Voluntary Group of Bicyclists who gather periodically to bicycle together in the Stateline area.  Everyone who cycles on the rides is responsible for their own safety and their own decisions.  There is no cost to participate.

All rides start and end at the Mill Street Parking Lot, 321 Broad St, Beloit, WI 53511, behind Bushel & Peck’s – map the location.

Our “Mantra” is NO BICYCLIST IS LEFT BEHIND

There are no dues or expenses associated with this group

We meet at 5:30 p.m. when days are longer. When the days are shorter in the late season, we meet at 5:00 p.m.

The rides can printed from the Spinners website or downloaded to a Smartphone or GPS device.

fall bikeThere are 4 categories of bicyclists who ride on Tuesdays:

  1. Hammers; avg speed 18 mph +++  (Avg ride is 25 miles +)
  2. Rabbits; avg speed 15-17 mph  (Avg ride is 25 miles +)
  3. Cruisers; avg speed 12-14 mph (Avg ride is 20 miles or less)
  4. Recreational Cyclists; 12 mph or less (Avg ride is 15 miles or less)

It is important to ride with the group that fits your skill level

The Saturday Ride is a blend of the 4 categories of cyclists above

If a cyclist is falling off the pace, another rider should join that rider and escort them back to home base, the Mill Street Parking Lot, 321 Broad St, Beloit, WI 53511, behind Bushel & Peck’s – map the location.

The decision as to the route to ride for that day is a “group decision”

If you wish to ride with the Stateline Spinners, you are REQUIRED to wear a helmet.

Riders are encouraged to bring cell phones, hydration beverage, spare inner tube and means to fill it (pump, CO2), blinking lights, and high visibility clothing on every ride

Riders are required to follow the “rules of the road” i.e. observe stop lights, stop signs, use hand signals & ride in single file when appropriate

Sharing of stories, good, bad, or indifferent, is encouraged.
